The Xiamen Digital Port Platform officially went live on Jan 23. It leverages the Xiamen International Trade Single Window Platform, adheres to a combination of "digital ecology" and "dynamic regulation", and utilizes the "one cabin three platforms" model.
"One cabin" refers to the digital cockpit (including the local government and customs), and the "three platforms" refer to the collaborative cooperation sub-platform, external service sub-platform, and auxiliary regulatory sub-platform.
This move has led to the transformation of the Xiamen International Trade Single Window from customs clearance services to comprehensive international trade management services.
Since its launch in October 2022, the Xiamen Digital Port Platform has been developed in a manner that involves "simultaneous construction, pilot testing, and promotion".
It has integrated data from over 40 external units, including customs, ports, and yards. Its operations cover shipping, air transport, bonded zones, and more, and it has introduced 211 application services.
Twenty innovative applications are at the forefront nationwide, and 47 cross-border trade facilitation measures have stimulated market vitality. The platform is expected to help improve business efficiency by 50 percent for enterprises, cutting costs by 150 million yuan ($21 million).
The Xiamen Digital Port Platform has broken down data barriers by integrating and linking manifest, customs declaration, container information, and other data, thus achieving interoperability of data across various business processes and enhancing the transparency of information throughout the customs clearance process.
