The offshore trade conducted by Xiamen city – located in East China's Fujian province – has been at the forefront in the field in the country for some time.
The metropolis looked into it closely and pioneered offshore resales as early as August 2018. It became one of the five pilot provinces (cities under separate state planning) to carry out new offshore international trade in June 2021, under the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
Offshore international trade helps Xiamen-based enterprises to develop international and domestic resources and markets, driving the dual cycle of the domestic and international economies.
