The first project of the Xiamen Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, currently being constructed in the Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport area – located in the port city of Xiamen, in East China's Fujian province – recently capped its roof.
The project, called the Xiamen aviation industrial park, is being developed and will be operated by Xiamen Aviation Industry Co Ltd.
It will cover a site of 100,000 square meters with a floor space of about 220,000 sq m. It will provide a premises for the relocation, capital increase and expansion of enterprises in the existing Xiamen Gaoqi aviation industry zone, as well as the rapid location of new investment ventures.
The park will focus on introducing aviation maintenance and aviation manufacturing projects, build a specialized and customized park with complete production and living facilities and serve as a top hardware and software site.
The park started construction on Jan 4 last year and has a total investment budget of 867 million yuan ($125.23 million). As of April, it had utilized fixed investments exceeding 300 million yuan.
