Six Xiamen-based companies made China's top 500 listed companies list released by Fortune magazine on July 12.
Xiamen Xiangyu Co, which is headquartered in the Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone, was ranked 25th on the list.
The ranking is based on the performance of publicly-traded companies over the past year. The 500 companies on the list generated a combined revenue of 65.8 trillion yuan ($9.17 trillion), and a net profit of 4.7 trillion yuan. The threshold to make the list was around 23.7 billion yuan.
Three State-owned enterprises based in Xiamen - C&D, Xiangyu, and ITG – had the highest rankings among all Fujian companies. The top privately-owned companies in Fujian are Contemporary Amperex Technology Co and Zijin Mining Group Co, which were ranked 44th and 51st respectively.
