As a pioneer in bolstering the reform and opening-up, the China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone has taken institutional innovation as its core task and deepened reforms in various aspects.
Recently, a total of 59 innovative achievements, including 33 created by the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, were selected among the 20th batch of innovative measures of Fujian FTZ.
These measures mainly cover the following six aspects.
Streamlining administration and delegating power
Focusing on the needs of enterprises and the public, Fujian FTZ has introduced innovative measures such as a mechanism for synchronizing administrative and judicial work on intellectual property rights. These policies will create a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, governed by law and internationalized.
Enhancing trade facilitation
The one utilizes technologies such as the internet of things, blockchain, virtual reality and 5G communication to develop information supervision platforms and promote the digital transformation of container terminals.
Innovating financial services
Fujian FTZ has launched the country's first E-CNY Industry Alliance (ECIA) and achieved direct exchange between the renminbi and the Indonesian rupiah. These measures increase the practical applications of digital currencies, supporting investment, financing, production and trade activities.
Cross-Strait exchanges
The zone has issued Taiwan-specific measures such as vocational qualifications services and emergency assistance to build a demonstration zone for the integrated development of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
New business models
To fuel the real economy, Fujian FTZ has launched measures such as a new model for the export of Chinese culture and digital services and the first containerized lithium battery energy-storage system.
Green development
Adhering to the concept of green, low-carbon and environmentally-friendly development, Fujian FTZ has introduced measures such as carbon trading, offshore wind power and marine ranching and safety supervision of aviation maintenance at national borders.
