The first Business Environment Forum that is part of the 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) will take place on Sept 8 in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province.
The forum, which will be held at Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center (XICEC), is aimed at promoting the city's business environment, attracting foreign companies and investment, and enhancing the internationalization of the business environment.
Research results on the development of the business environment will be unveiled during the event.
The forum will gather officials from the State Council and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, experts and scholars at home and abroad, as well as representatives from Global Fortune 500 companies.
According to a recent report released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, nearly 70 percent of the foreign companies surveyed are optimistic about the market prospects in China; over 90 percent of them see the Chinese market as an attractive destination; and over 80 percent of them expect steady or increasing profits from the market.
Fujian province has constantly working to create a world-class business environment. In addition to rolling out measures and favorable policies, Fujian is also exploring building a digital business environment to integrate data and streamline administration within the province.
