Legal forum held to promote Belt and Road cooperation

The Third Forum of Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District was held in Xiamen city in East China's Fujian province from Sept 7 to 8. 

The forum was organized by the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District Construction Leading Group, the Organization for the Prevention and Resolution of International Commercial Disputes, and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center. 

The opening ceremony and main forum took place on Sept 7. On Sept 8, four sub-forums focusing on different topics such as upgrading the level of legal services for cross-border investment and trade, exploring the path of integrating development between both sides of the Taiwan Strait, central legal district and legal innovation, and improving the intellectual property protection mechanism, were held.

The forum was attended by officials from the central government, representatives of local authorities, advisors of the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District, domestic and foreign experts and scholars, representatives from enterprises, overseas guests and members of the media. The event was also livestreamed online through various platforms.
