The 19th cross-Strait book fair will be held in Xiamen from Sept 21 to 23.
The main venue of the fair will be the Xiamen Fliport C&E Center. Branch venues will be established in Taiwan and other places.
The fair will showcase 20 categories of books from Taiwan, totaling more than 16,000 types and over 31,000 volumes.
In addition to the establishment of Chinese mainland and Taiwan publishing exhibition areas and copyright negotiation zones, for the first time, special exhibition areas for online literature and digital publishing, e-commerce livestreaming, and reading activities will be set up.
During the fair, various reading promotion activities such as themed lectures, new book releases, and cultural experiences will be held to better connect readers from both sides of the Strait.
This edition of the book fair will also integrate exhibition modes, conducting "cloud exploration" and "live stream with books" activities, enabling more readers to have the opportunity to participate in reading sharing and cultural exchange.
Over 30,000 original books from 120 publishing organizations in Taiwan have already been transported to Xiamen.
The National Culture Export Base of the Xiamen Free Trade Zone had specially optimized customs clearance for books bound for the fair to lower the operating costs for participating businesses.
