The 2023 Xiamen Free Trade Zone International Wine Festival came to a close on Sept 24.
At the festival grounds, many citizens could be seen sipping on red wine and enjoying the sea breeze.
Apart from wines, the festival also showcased the development achievements of the wine industry in the Xiamen FTZ.
The branch venue of the festival at Xiamen Sea World featured a wine consumer market comprising 55 booths that offered more than 700 imported wines.
Moreover, consumption coupons worth more than 500,000 yuan ($68407) were distributed at the festival, presenting the citizens of Xiamen with a unique and stunning "sea wine market".
During this festival, five representatives of alcohol merchants joined the Xiamen FTZ import goods traceability platform. The platform will utilize blockchain technology to ensure the integrity and authenticity of the information chain in aspects such as alcohol import clearance, inspection and quarantine, and market circulation, providing consumers with more reliable imported wines.
A signing ceremony for merchants of the Xiamen FTZ International Digital Wine Platform was also held. Five alcohol merchant representatives formally became part of the platform.
