The Xiamen Free Trade Zone, in collaboration with Dongdu Customs under Xiamen Customs, has launched a new system that allows businesses to place orders online and obtain exit inspection and quarantine certificates by mail.
Previously, certificates had to be applied for and collected at the joint inspection center during office hours.
Since the beginning of this year, Dongdu Customs has issued 18,656 import and export inspection and quarantine certificates. The processing time for the certificate has been reduced by more than 24 hours due to the new system, which is already live.
Dongdu Customs has also set up a 24-hour certificate issuing counter. Businesses can choose to pick up the certificates themselves.
This function is an important measure taken by Xiamen FTZ to boost international trade, integrate port data resources, and promote the construction of the digital port. This platform has so far launched 211 innovative features.
