The inaugural Xiamen high-level talents studying abroad training event was successfully held from Oct 27 to 29.
Nearly 50 high-level study-abroad talent representatives from nearly 20 different countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, took part in the event, which featured a host of lectures and policy presentations.
The event was aimed at allowing talents studying abroad to learn about the achievements of Xiamen's economic development and construction.
Representatives from emerging economic industries such as artificial intelligence, new-generation information technology, new energy, new materials, and biomedicine, as well as investment and financing institutions and university scientific research institutions also took part in the event.
The training program categorizes overseas talents according to their fields of expertise, thus allowing for effective pairing and collaboration. It also expands the financing channels for enterprises led by overseas talents.
The event also saw an innovative upgrade being made to a comprehensive service platform that aggregates resources from the industrial parks, investment and financing institutions, well-known companies, and study abroad service agencies.
