The General Administration of Customs recently released the 2022 development performance evaluation of 168 comprehensive bonded zones across the country.
The Xiamen Xiangyu Bonded Zone was ranked first in terms of comprehensive quality and efficiency.
The Xiamen Xiangyu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the Xiamen Xiangyu Bonded Zone, and the Haicang Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone all rose in the national and eastern rankings, claiming the top three spots in the province.
The Haicang Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone achieved an evaluation score of A on the national level for the first time.
In the 2022 national customs special supervision area development performance evaluation, the Xiamen Xiangyu Comprehensive Bonded Zone was ranked 16th nationwide, up 13 places from the 2021 ranking, and 11th in the eastern region. From January to October, its import and export value amounted to 334.28 billion yuan ($46.7 billion), a year-on-year increase of 15.4 percent.
Meanwhile, the Xiamen Xiangyu Bonded Zone was ranked 18th nationwide, an improvement of five places from 2021. It also retained the first place in the comprehensive ranking of quality and efficiency nationwide, and was ranked 13th in the eastern region. From January to October, the import and export volume was 88.33 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.9 percent.
The Haicang Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone was ranked 27th nationwide, up 21 places from 2021. It was also ranked 20th in the eastern region, advancing 16 places from the previous year.
From January to October, it achieved an import and export value of 57.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 39.9 percent. Among these, exports accounted for 46.06 billion yuan, which was a significant increase of 86.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
