The launch ceremony for the global supply chain and offshore trade finance service platform was held in the Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone on Jan 9.

The platform is able to perform functions such as real-time authenticity verification of trade backgrounds, business management for purchasing and sales and statistical analysis.

Enterprises and banks can conduct business transactions on this platform using the internet or WeChat mini-program.

The platform passed its acceptance test on Dec 19, 2023, and officially commenced operations on Jan 2, 2024. Currently, 12 local banks in Xiamen and seven local corporate groups have started utilizing the platform.

In 2023, the volume of new offshore international trade in Xiamen was $16.52 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.19 percent.

The establishment and operation of this platform have also led to the creation of an offshore trade data center, which will promote the high-quality development of foreign trade.
