On April 9, the Exit and Entry Administration announced the implementation of 10 exit and entry policies to help Fujian province develop a demonstration zone for cross-Strait integrated development for 100 days.
Mr Ye, a Taiwan compatriot, stated: "I work on the Chinese mainland and frequently travel between Xiamen and Kinmen. Every time, using the fast-track channel is very convenient. This time, I also brought a friend to complete the registration process, and it only took two minutes."
Since the implementation of the "10 exit and entry policies", the Xiamen General Station of Immigration Inspection has inspected nearly 460,000 Taiwan compatriots entering or leaving the mainland, providing 24/7 clearance services for over 4,200 vessels traveling between Fujian and Taiwan, year-on-year increases of approximately 277 percent and 82 percent, respectively.
Additionally, they have processed rapid customs clearance registration for over 9,400 Taiwan compatriots, making travel between Fujian and Taiwan more convenient. Instant clearance has become an increasingly popular and convenient option for Taiwan compatriots traveling to the Chinese mainland.
Since the beginning of this year, the Xiamen General Station of Immigration Inspection has been optimizing the entry and exit inspection procedures for vessels traveling between Fujian and Taiwan.
They have prioritized clearance procedures for vessels carrying bulk commodities, fresh agricultural products, and daily necessities, achieving fast and efficient cross-Strait freight clearance.
In addition, they have established five rapid customs clearance registration points, achieving full coverage of passenger ports in the province for registration, making it easy for Taiwan compatriots to handle relevant procedures nearby and enjoy the convenience of "local registration, nationwide use".
