The 22nd China Straits Innovation and Projects Fair (CSIPF) opened in Fuzhou, Fujian province on June 18.
At this year's fair, Xiamen Free Trade Zone's enterprise DaZheng Micro Nano Technology Co Ltd showcased its new generation of photovoltaic cell products — ultra-thin flexible perovskite thin-film solar cell modules, demonstrating the continuous efforts of the Xiamen FTZ to accelerate the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces.
This kind of solar cell module, measuring 0.6 meters in width and 1.2 meters in length, is the world's largest ultra-thin flexible solar cell module to date. Its most notable features are its ultra-thin design, light weight, and flexibility.
"The ultra-thin flexible perovskite thin-film solar cell modules are already being applied in everything from charging stations to glass curtain walls and portable application scenarios," said a company representative.
Compared to traditional solar cells, solar cells that use perovskite-type organic metal halide semiconductors as light-absorbing materials offer significant advantages in terms of raw material costs, defect tolerance, and efficiency.
DaZheng is currently constructing the world's first flexible (lightweight) 100-megawatt production line. The entire production line is domestically produced and possesses complete intellectual property rights. It is expected to commence official production early next year.
