Haicang Port recently launched a direct shipping route to Taiwan for cross-border e-commerce goods. Seventy-one containers, with nearly $2.68-million-worth of exported goods, passed through the Haicang Investment Cross-Border E-commerce Supervision Center and were shipped from Ocean Gate Container Terminal on the FENGZEYUAN vessel bound for Taipei Port in Taiwan.
The opening of this shipping route will help ensure production and supply for e-commerce and manufacturing enterprises in Xiamen and its surrounding areas, while also contributing to the high-quality development of Xiamen Port.
The FENGZEYUAN vessel is scheduled to operate three voyages per week, with a maximum capacity of 672 containers. It is equipped with three cargo holds and 110 reefer plugs, complementing the existing Xiamen-Jinmen "Little Three Links" capacity at Haicang Port. This will provide solid assurance for the stable transportation of goods.
The Xiamen Free Trade Zone Administration Committee and other authorities and departments have been working closely with enterprises to optimize the "terminal + shipping route + location" model, aiming to further enhance efficiency.
