Construction on the XTC New Energy High-end Energy Material Engineering Innovation Center is set to commence in July in Haicang Park of the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, with an expected completion date of March 2026. This marks a new phase of research and development for XTC New Energy.
Located in Haicang Park, the center involves an investment of approximately 270 million yuan ($37.1 million) and will include workshops, comprehensive buildings, and related supporting structures.
XTC New Energy has said that the center is poised to act as a "catalyst" for the company's research and development innovation and capacity enhancement.
As one a leading company in the domestic new energy materials industry, XTC New Energy primarily produces positive electrode materials for new energy batteries. Positive electrode materials, as the most critical key materials in new energy batteries, directly determine the capacity, safety, and other performance indicators of new energy batteries.
In recent years, XTC New Energy has actively cultivated cutting-edge industrial technologies and achieved a series of accomplishments, with many technologies at the forefront globally. Their flagship product, lithium cobalt oxide, holds a global market share of over 40 percent, firmly securing the top position worldwide.
