The Haicang Edible Bird's Nest Industry Quality Strong Chain Service Alliance has been officially launched, marking the official start of the edible bird's nest industry quality strong chain work.
The alliance will support the edible bird's nest industry supply chain quality improvement from multiple angles, including policy support, inspection and testing, standards, operational norms, management system enhancement, and brand building, promoting the overall development of the manufacturing and service industries.
Huang Guanbin, general manager of Dongnan Yandu, or Southeast Edible Bird Nest Capital, an enterprise in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, stated that the company will actively cooperate with the quality strong chain initiative. They will focus more on lean management and research and development efforts and promote the establishment of industry standards. Their goal is to build a distinctive brand and excellent reputation for edible bird's nest products, highlighting the high-quality of manufacturing in Haicang district and Xiamen.
The edible bird's nest platform is a key industry platform being developed in the Xiamen FTZ. Over the years, the Xiamen FTZ administration committee has actively collaborated with Xiamen Customs and others to develop new mechanisms and systems, cultivate new drivers for industrial development, focus on industry standardization and the development of a traceability platform, and establish the largest edible bird's nest industry cluster in China.
The platform has attracted a total of 32 production-oriented edible bird's nest enterprises and 68 trade-oriented and other enterprises, achieving a total output value of 3.37 billion yuan ($465 million).
