The Taiwan cargo ship Yixin carrying Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor recently docked at Haixiang Terminal, and the goods it was carrying were smoothly transported to the Dadeng Taiwan small commodity trading market in just three hours. This marks the reopening of the "Kinmen-Xiang'an" cross-Strait logistics channel.
Previously, it took at least a week for goods to travel from Taiwan to the Dadeng market, and high warehousing costs were incurred. Haixiang Terminal is the Chinese mainland's closest large general-purpose terminal to Kinmen, and both it and Dadeng market are located in Xiang'an district, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
In the future, Haixiang Terminal will collaborate with the Torch (Xiang'an) Type B Bonded Logistics Center to promote general trade bulk containerized export business. By combining the existing regular export Kinmen seafood route, it will establish a new cross-Strait economic and trade channel between Kinmen and Xiang'an, facilitating the granting of customs designated qualifications for fruits and fresh seafood products and solidifying the foundation for business expansion.
The reopening of the "Kinmen-Xiang'an" cross-Strait logistics channel provides a new opportunity to boost the innovative development of the Dadeng market and offers more chances for Xiamen to expand its cross-Strait shipping, economic, and trade cooperation and exchanges.
