The BRICS Partnership on the New Industrial Revolution (PartNIR) Innovation Center was launched in Xiamen in December 2020. The Xiamen Free Trade Zone has been continuously leveraging BRICS cooperation opportunities and turning opportunities presented by BRICS into tangible achievements.
At the Sea World of Xiamen FTZ, there are currently six cooperation institutions from BRICS countries, including Brazil, Russia and Arab states. The legal service network now covers over 100 countries and regions, promoting extensive cooperation among BRICS countries' enterprises and deep integration within the Eurasian Economic Union.
The Investe Piaui Xiamen Representative Office was also launched at Sea World on Oct 14.
At the China (Xiamen) International Trade Single Window, there is a special module called the BRICS Country Service Zone. Leveraging the platform, this zone integrates existing resources and connects with Xiamen's distinctive BRICS resources. It provides enterprises with information, customs clearance, logistics, and other one-stop services, aiming to help companies expand into BRICS markets and facilitate cross-border trade with BRICS countries.
The first cross-border e-commerce air freight route between Xiamen and Sao Paulo, located in the BRICS countries of China and Brazil, respectively, has been operating stably. Since its opening on February 10, 2023, the route has been well-received by businesses. As of the end of September, Xiamen Customs had supervised 200 round-trip flights, with the total volume of imports and exports reaching 14,100 metric tons.
