The sixth Cross-Strait Customs Clearance Forum was held in Xiamen on Oct 28. Experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and industry representatives gathered to jointly explore new paths for cross-Strait economic and trade cooperation and supply chain collaboration.

The forum is meant to serve as an efficient and smooth cooperation and communication platform for the cross-Strait economic and trade, logistics, and customs clearance sectors, contributing wisdom and strength to the promotion of high-quality economic development across the Strait.

At the event, guests from both sides of the Strait delivered keynote speeches on topics such as the latest developments in Taiwan's Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program, the latest developments in the Chinese mainland's AEO program, and how high-level institutionalized openness supports high-quality opportunities and helps overcome challenges enterprises face when going global.

During the roundtable forum session, participants focused on exploring the path to customs facilitation under the AEO system, further enhancing communication and cooperation among practitioners in the cross-Strait customs market and exploring innovative paths for collaboration.

At the forum, the research results on cross-Strait standards were released, and the ceremony for the launch of the "Cross-Strait AEO Customs Facilitation Comparative Study" took place. This marks a new step in cross-Strait cooperation in standardization and customs facilitation.
