The launch of a bonded repair facility operated by Plexus Electronics (Xiamen) Co Ltd and the unveiling ceremony of the "Green Supply Chain Innovation Ecosystem Initiative for Medical Equipment" took place on Jan 9 in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone.
The approval and launch of global bonded maintenance business for medical devices by Plexus contributes another "national first" to the Xiamen FTZ.
It also adds to the experience of the Xiamen FTZ in assisting industrial innovation and upgradings, as well as breakthrough developments for enterprises.
The implementation of the project has brought about positive industry effects. Plexus has already secured maintenance orders from leading international medical device companies and is currently setting up a new production line, with mass output expected to be achieved in the year.
During the event, Plexus, together with GE Healthcare and other groups, launched the "Green Supply Chain Innovation Ecosystem Initiative for Medical Equipment".
The initiative aims to bring together various social forces to focus on the recycling of medical equipment, innovation in industry-academia-research collaboration and to promote the green transformation and upgrading of the medical equipment industry supply chain.
Overall, the initiative aims to support the medical equipment industry in advancing towards green, eco-friendly and efficient development.
