The main structure of the Phase I Advanced Smart Manufacturing Center project in Xiamen Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone was recently capped, with completion and acceptance expected by the end of 2025.
Located in Xiang'an district, the project covers a total land area of 50,500 square meters and a total construction area of 90,300 sq m, with a total investment of around 294 million yuan ($40.6 million).
Plans are for the construction of nine diverse and customized high-standard factory buildings, to create an efficient and convenient comprehensive bonded production manufacturing platform.
Phase I consists of three sub-projects – the Advanced Smart Manufacturing Center, International Logistics Center and an International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
It is mainly focusing on attracting aviation cargo bonded logistics business, cross-border e-commerce, aviation bonded maintenance, bonded aviation materials, bonded intelligent manufacturing, bonded technology research and development and port support services to create a multi-dimensional aviation bonded comprehensive service platform.
