A consumption promotion event highlighting beer, coffee, gourmet food, and a music festival was launched in Huli district of the Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone on Sept 5, seeking to offer an immersive consumption experience for residents and tourists.
The event aims to boost Xiamen's consumption market through city-district collaboration and government-business synergy.
The event's lively atmosphere was fueled by local singers and renowned bands, who elicited enthusiasm from the crowd with their dynamic performances. Over 100 specialty market stalls offered craft beers, specialty coffees, traditional Chinese brands, Michelin-starred cuisine, new Fujian dishes, Taiwanese specialties, and snacks, catering to diverse tastes.
To further stimulate consumption, consumption vouchers worth 600,000 yuan ($84,000) will be distributed. Themed music performances over four nights will offer an ultimate musical experience, ranging from pop hits to nostalgic classics, jazz ensembles to rock concerts. Interactive games, like beer drinking contests and name-that-tune challenges, offer participants the chance to win exciting prizes.
The launch also announced initiatives to benefit the public and promote consumption. Major online platforms and financial institutions, including Xiamen UnionPay, Meituan, JD Takeaway, Alipay, and Taobao Flash Sale (Ele.me), revealed upcoming special services and exclusive discounts.
The event marks the beginning of a series of activities set to be held in the free trade zone and Huli district in the runup to the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade, becoming a new engine for boosting consumption in the area.
