The zero-carbon pilot program of Xiangyu Comprehensive Bonded Zone in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone was recently included in the second batch of typical zero-carbon transportation and facilities pilot programs.
The Xiamen FTZ has put actions behind the green and low-carbon development, upgrading the system of the logistics zone, from energy construction and equipment substitution to emission control and smart management during these years.
The bonded zone has made significant achievements in environmentally friendly infrastructure reform, with a 90 percent photovoltaic coverage rate for warehouses, 90 percent new energy substitution rate for equipment, and full coverage of energy-saving for lighting and cooling equipment.
As of August this year, it has built 7.5-MW distributed photovoltaic power generation system and 1 MW/2 MWh energy storage stations, with approximately eight million kilowatt-hours, which is three times the electricity consumption of the zone. What's more, 51 new energy electric forklifts and one electric front-handling mobile crane have come into use.

By building a zero-carbon zone to promote the green transition, the program was recognized among the 2022 Green and Low-carbon Typical Cases, the First Session of Model Cases of Green Logistics, and included in the typical cases of Xiamen Practice.
