The port authorities in Xiamen completed all quarantine procedures for inbound flight MF8682 from Macao — including remote temperature checks of passengers and crew, verification of declaration documents, and sanitation inspections of passenger and cargo cabins — using the smart remote quarantine system from the control room. This marks the implementation of the smart remote quarantine system for aircraft in Fujian province.

The smart remote quarantine system for aircraft refers to a system that relies on on-site terminals such as remote temperature measurement and intelligent information collection devices, along with handheld monitoring terminals. By utilizing technologies such as 5G communications and AI, staff can remotely perform quarantine supervision of the aircraft as soon as the flight arrives at the designated area, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Compared with traditional on-site boarding quarantine, this model enables "quarantine upon arrival" for aircraft. It reduces passengers' waiting time during boarding quarantine and enhances both the clearance experience for travelers and the airport's operational efficiency.
