An efficient supply chain from Xiamen Seashine Aquatic Product Group and Hainan Supply and Marketing Group is bringing catches from the Xisha deep-sea fisheries to markets in Fujian.
This model ensures direct sourcing, rapid delivery, and full-process traceability, significantly enhancing product freshness and overall quality while delivering an end-to-end upgrade — from harvest to retail.
The Xiamen International Aquatic Products Trading Platform, anchored at the nationally recognized Gaoqi Fishing Port, serves as a pivotal hub, clustering over 600 merchants and trading in more than 200 varieties of aquatic products.
The platform enforces stringent quality control protocols, including conducting daily inspections of 200-300 product batches and implementing a full-process traceability "one product, one code" system that ensures every product can be traced back to its source, thereby guaranteeing food safety for consumers.
The platform processed 218,400 metric tons of transactions in 2025, generating 10.55 billion yuan ($1.52 billion), representing year-over-year growth of 7.06 percent and 2.35 percent, respectively.
By utilizing its customs clearance capabilities, Xiamen handled approximately 12,000 tons of lobster in 2025, with a trade value of around 6 billion yuan. Both volume and value rank among the highest nationwide, establishing Gaoqi Fishing Port as a key national distribution hub for imported lobster.
