The Xiamen Xiangyu Comprehensive Bonded Zone has completed the construction of an 8.4MW distributed photovoltaic power generation system and a 2MW/2MWh energy storage station, generating approximately 9 million kWh of electricity annually.
The photovoltaic output has already exceeded three times the zone's total electricity consumption, with green power accounting for 100 percent of the zone's energy usage. Additionally, over 95 percent of logistics equipment has been electrified.
As of the end of January 2026, the bonded zone has achieved a cumulative safe power generation of 29.04 million kWh, equivalent to saving approximately 9,600 metric tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 23,900 tons.
Last October, the bonded zone was designated as a national-level zero-carbon pilot zone. Last December, the first batch of projects under the national transportation pilot program for bolstering transportation strength through the optimization and enhancement of port functions was announced, with the "Construction and Enhancement of Xiamen Port's High-Quality Cruise Terminal and Smart Green Port" passing the review.
In recent years, the bonded zone has drawn renowned enterprises, such as Dell's Global Distribution Center and ECCO's Global Distribution Center, to establish operations there. In 2025, the zone's total imports and exports reached 120.67 billion yuan ($17.57 billion), ranking 22nd nationwide and 1st in Fujian province.
