Arport AME, a subsidiary of Xiamen Iport Group, signed a capital increase and share expansion agreement with Singapore's SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) on March 17, marking SIAEC's first joint venture project in the Chinese mainland and representing another major step forward in the international cooperation of Xiamen's aviation maintenance industry.
The two partners will tap into Xiamen's strengths as a global aviation maintenance hub, combining hangar facilities, route networks, and technical resources to boost Arport AME's capabilities, strengthen the industry chain, and reinforce Xiamen's leading edge as a one-stop maintenance base.
Founded in 1992 as a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, SIAEC was listed on the Singapore Exchange in 2000. It is one of Asia's leading MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) service providers, holding certifications from 29 countries and regions. The company also operates an international network spanning over 32 airports.
Founded in 2003, Yuanxiang Aviation Services is China's first airport-based MRO to operate as an independent corporate entity with a single-certificate, multi-location model. It serves over 50 airlines with safe, efficient ground handling and line maintenance, and is qualified for A-checks on mainstream narrow-body aircraft.
