A total of 4,179 Chinese-made vehicles, including 3,679 new energy vehicles (NEVs), were loaded onto the Viking Carina at the Xiamen Ocean Gate Container Terminal and departed on Aug 1 for the Port of Paranagua, Brazil, a Belt and Road partner country. The NEVs accounted for nearly 90 percent of the shipment.
The shipment set a new record for Great Wall Motor's single-voyage exports from a single domestic port, while also marking the terminal's largest batch of Chinese-made vehicle exports so far this year.

Since the start of the year, the port has sustained strong growth in NEV shipments. In the first seven months of 2026, it exported over 36,000 NEVs, up about 80 percent year-on-year — a clear sign of rising overseas demand for Chinese-made new energy vehicles.
